Front diff seals leaking....good time to re-gear?

Okay, I have another hair-brained idea.

My front diff seals are leaking. I am going to try and change to a heavier oil and see if that solves the problem. If it doesn't, I am estimating about $500-600 to have the seals replaced (I'm really short on time right now). Would it make sense to have it re-geared and just have the seals replaced while their at it?

Any good shops in DC?

Has anyone done this?

I'm think 4.56 as I plan to add bumpers/roof rack,etc later on.

Thanks!

Heavier weight oil is not going to stop the leak.

Regearing is going to cost a lot more - you have to do the rear axle, too. Go for it, might as well add ARBs while you're at it. :dancin:

I am thinking about a new suspension to replace my Daystar spacers. However, I only have 30k on the factory shocks (replaced by prior owner), so I don't want to be wasteful, I know there are better setups out there (thinking icon stage 1) and want to figure out what my long term tire size is before I take the regear plunge.
