Front Door Speakers Are Out Need Help Please

About three weeks ago my front door speakers on both sides stopped working, the floor speakers and the tweeters, but the back door speakers and middle dash speaker still work properly, i was told the factory amp was shot and if it is then i would like to rip it out and put in an after market amp to power the speakers, can this be done? and how?

I think you'll have a hard time finding an aftermarket 5.1 channel amp. I think you'll have an even harder time finding an aftermarket 5.1 channel amp that puts out the right wattage to each channel. I think you're best bet would be to replace with another factory amp (that I'm sure many people have laying around from complete replacements). That all being said, I don't know that much and I could be completely wrong.

If it were me I would just replace the speakers and add a 4-channel amp to power the front speakers/rear or front/ sub..sorry if this doesn't help you. Are you looking for advice on a certain model amplifier or are you willing to replace your speakers?

Ya probably the easiest and cheapest way to go. But that's where I'm at right now and I hate that my center channel doesn't work. It's just a thing about a dead feature I have.

If it were me, I would first off yank out a speaker and check it. I would think being as they all went out at the same time it is the amp or radio. I would probably just upgrade my radio, Now a days they have them with a decent amount of wattage, plus can play MP3s and whatnot. Not sure how new of a radio your 03 has but I am about to upgrade mine very soon, it can't play burned CD's or much of anything.
