Don't scold me too bad, I tried the search options and couldn't make it work. So, my question is, should the front drive shaft and axles always turn with the tires? I have a 1987 4runner with automatic locking hubs and wondered if this was a sign that they are not disengaging properly.

Try searching the site with a real search engine. Go to your favorite web search and enter the string "site:www.toyota-4Runner.org <insert search terms>". Works much better.

I don't have an answer for you, though. Switch to manual hubs.

Thanks. I'll give that a shot. The search options here will load but disappear before I can type the first letter. And I have been thinking of swapping to manual hubs, just got other bugs to work out first. This hang has been sitting up for a while.
