Came across this related video of a guy who purports to have accomplished the grab handle install. There are some comments to the author who gives a less than complete answer.

Message I received from him:
"Hi,
I created a blanket email response since I'm getting a few pms at once:
Hello - anyone can email me at
[email protected] I don't get on the forums that often, but do see the email notifications to check my PM's.
I have a 2017 Off Road 4runner. (actually it’s the wife's - hence the need for the handle).
I'm charging 120 with shipping and all:
I send instructions with a template for installation.
First come first serve:
Its first come first serve and I go by payment received and paid for - as that means we are serious and I can work on making a product and not promises to pay , etc. If I went by PM's, emails It would be very hard to keep track of. Im logging all the names in my excel/onenote to keep track, etc. so once I receive payment ill email back with order info.
Paypal:
[email protected] - use this yahoo one for paypal for years, but my g-mail is what I use for email more now on my phone with the app is much nicer.
Handle:
The handle I recommend you get at your local Toyota dealer. I found that the price difference online vs at dealer is not much of a difference at all and you can ensure you get the right color. i don't know the p/n's for tan, only gray. ours is gray interior.
GRAY colored interior p/n below - I don't know the tan colored p/n's, but your local dealer can look it up using the numbers below and confirm tan if needed.
Handle: 74680-60010
Plugs: LH 74615-60040 and RH 74616-60040
which really isn't LH/RH but more like top bottom...but they list it as LH / RH.
I fabricate a custom bracket that you mount to the bottom of your A-pillar of your vehicle using two self-tapping sheet metal screws. I provide a template paper that helps you line it up and step by step photo instructions print out. - No one has had any trouble installing so far. sold about 80 of them so far.
you have to remove the cover plate on the A-pillar that says "SRS curtain Air bag" under there is a bolt and the top of the handle mounts there. the bracket mounts at the bottom location to attach the bottom screw of the handle.
I provide the hardware and bracket, but you need to go to your local Toyota dealer and get the handle and two covers.
What year is your 4runner? confirm it has the SRS curtain airbag plug on the driver side A-pillar.
Also, screen name as well so I can keep track if you're from the forums.
Let me know.
Thanks,
-J "
