Front Drivers side fender...

My husband has a 1997 4Runner...I had an accident with it and it needs a new front fender..any suggestions for where I might buy one? I checked our local Junk Yards ....nothing...So I am thinking of buying on line...anyone know of any good sites?

Certifit is an hour and 1/2 away......also we do not have the fender FLARE...its just (or was just) the simple chrome like 1/2 inch thick moulding that like clips on around the fender.

are you trying to fix this with out him knowing? or before he retunrs home? im getting this funny feeling that im right...

ha ha ha...gosh no...lol I actually had the accident about 2 years ago...but he has that big metal thing that goes across the front of the car (don't know what thats called) but thank God for it..b/c had it not been there it would have been really smashed bad..thing is...thats kind of holding the head light in place (from falling foward.)...the headlight cannot be properly put back in place b/c the fender is dented (pretty bad) we didnt really care about b/c he mostly just uses the truck for work now..and we use my 2003 4Runner for everyday use..but here in VA it wont pass inspection b/c the light is not properly tight in place...so we need to get the fender fixed now. My husband doesn't have internet at work so I am kind of doing the leg work for him

I do call 2 auto salvage yards here but they had nothing and unfortunately certifit while nice and cheap...wont ship

It sort of sounds like you may need a headlight too though, are you able to post pics of the damage?

IanB thanks for the reply I will try that link I can definetely post pics but not till Thurs. My husband has the truck and had to travel out of town for work. But I will post the pics..b/c we are not 100% sure the main prob is the fender...so maybe you can help...oh and no the head light is new and works great. Well ...it was new after the accident.
