front end clunk

I have been experiencing the front end clunk over bumps that some had diagnosed as a steering column issue (already replaced the sway bar end links). There was a great thread describing the fix but I've searched and I can't find it again. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

With KDSS trucks the sway bar bushings are the place to start. Just replaced mine and all clunks are gone. Not sure if its the same with non KDSS.

Sway bar bushings make a lot more noise than you would think inside the car. As said above, I'd start there. You'll have to check that with the suspension loaded.

Forgive my ignorance, but since my sway bar end links were replaced, wouldn't that eliminate them as a source of the knocking? There is a thread floating around about the steering column creating the knock, but I can't find the damn thing!

This thread maybe? I've started noticing the exact thing this guy mentions with mine: vibration/rattle in the steering hitting bumps/washboard roads at slower speeds. Anything over about 30mph and it feels completely normal.
