front end nose mask for 2003 4runner

Has anyone found a nose mask (front end mask) for their 2003 4runner? If so, where? I want to protect the front end of my new 4runner but can't find a 2003.

Clear Bra

Rather than risk paint abbrasions from debris under the bra, why not consider a clear bra ?

Actually, I checked out xpel, stonegard and dynashield. On the 2003 SR5 there is paint all along the front (including the grill and lower bumper). To cover the entire front painted surface, you are looking at three kits totaling $440. The kit for the lower bumper is the most extensive and is not recommended for do-it yourselfers. The most critical thing about a clear nose mask is the installation, so the installers skill and reputation is critical. Checked with Dynashield in Atlanta and they are all that (I even visited their workshop while they were installing a full front kit on a BMW M3 to check their quality)! However, installed (including covers for the headlights and fog lights) it would have costed $600. Using their custom kit (which is a full wrap-around the wheel wells) it would cost $800. A little too rich for my blood but I would highly recommend them to anyone with the need and the cash to have it done. I checked out the website suggested by fileechino (autoanything.com) and purchased the colgan nose mask and it's great. It covers everything with paint including the grill. For $90 and free shipping ya can't beat it!

Nose Mask 4runner

Here's what my 4runner looks like with the new nosemask.

I'd never put a one on my car. The polluted rain would sit under the mask and discolor the paint. I once talked to a manufacture about it, he said east of the Mississippi, forget it! Acid rain will take an effect on the paint.

I agree.. bras aren't good if the weather is wet.. but if you're going on long trip and the roads will be clear/dry they do a wonderful job of keeping the bugs and rock chips off the front end and out of the radiator... You also need to worry about paint fade in sunny locations if you leave the bra on all the time. The area under the bra eventually shows less wear. That photo shows this is a quality bra. It fits nice and snug so you probably won't see much paint abrasion if the bra and car hood is kept clean.
