Front End Squeak

I just changed the LCAs thinking that would fix my squeaking issues. Nope. Still sounds like crap if I hit even the slightest bump. Put tri-flow on basically anything with a contact surface. Still squeaks. How can I make it stop lol

I had this issue on a Suzuki Grand Vitara, going over speed bumps it would squeak like an old worn out heap.

It was diagnosed as the D Bushes, not sure if they are called the same thing over there but it looks like they meant the antiroll bar bushes.

Yea - Wed call it the sway bar bushings. Certainly the sway bar is a reasonable thing to evaluate. You could take it and the end links off and see if it solves your problem and then evaluate all the parts

Good thing to look into, I have had dry ball joints squeak on 3 cars. I sprayed some lube into the boot to prove it out. One got bad enough that the steering felt tighter, not my car as I wouldn't have ignored it for so long.

That is the top of my strut. And the where is in the engine bay poking through the fender haha.

That's what I thought but couldn't figure out how it could come out through the inner fender, is the strut gone bad???

My dad thinks the strut mount must have given out. But we are in the same boat, wondering how that happened.

The "how" is what we are trying to figure out. Should take a pretty large amount of force to achieve those results.

Definitely because that bolt should be about an inch under the well! Is your top hat alright?

I would think the top hat is either rusted out or the stop/washer on the strut shaft is shot, and that front corner should be shagging a good bit as well.

Uhm... did someone forget to install the retaining washer under the strut hat? I've seen that (well, maybe not punching a hole in the body...) type of issue when someone has installed new shocks or a lift like Bilsteins and forgot to swap over the washer that sits on the underside of the strut mount rubber bushing. Eventually the shock shaft pushes through the rubber and you get a nice clunk.

I have the same issue as OP. Subscribing. Going to change sway bushings regardless
