Front end vibration when braking = Leaky valve covers

I have had an intermitent right front end vibration that was very hard to diagnose. It only happened after I had been driving for at least minutes.
I thought it was a warped rotor or a bad LBJ but I saw zero evidence of either.
Front diff mounts?
Wheel bearing?
ABS issues?

I have had the notorious 3rd Gen valve cover oil leak and I thought maybe, just maybe oil was getting on the front right rotor.
After replacing the valve cover gaskets and 1/2 moons the vibrations stopped.

Two weeks later, zero vibrations.

Suspect diagnosis.

That's a Long way from the VC area to the rotors.

Despite that, Luck & enjoy that runner.

Good to hear that your vibration is sorted but really can't imagine how a vc leak was the cause of your vibration, even if it somehow got to your rotor that's not gonna be the issue. :noidea::noidea:

Good job fixing your oil leak but theres no way a leaky valve cover gasket could shoot onto your brake rotor imo.... Unless you're leaving a straightup puddle in your driveway and the axle is flicking it EVERYWHERE to make it past the shield onto the rotor and even then itd probably just smoke a bunch.

Glad you got the leak under control. Make sure to check/retorque the VC bolts in a few weeks. I just did my VC and the bolts were really loose again after a few weeks. I added some thread locker and retorqued them to spec.
