Front frame reinforcement

I want to strengthen my frame up front to help with winch loads, twisting while offroading and to move my Demello bumper up to match my 1.25 inch body lift. Has anyone done front frame horn gussets ? I have a fabricator but Im looking for ideas

What exactly are you talking about? Strengthen the frame where?

Are you talking about eliminating the crumple zones and/or tying up the radiator support more?

Most aftermarket bumpers seem to do a good job of tying the front rails together and providing a good amount of strength.

I wanted to reinforce the crumple zone in the frame
does anyone have any pictures of anything like they did to there rig?

Reinforcing the crumple zones is a bad thing. They are designed in those locations for a reason. If you make those areas stronger then God forbid anything happens that is accident related, the force from the accident will pass the reinforced area and go into an area thats not designed to crumple and cause damage alot worse than intended. This could cause possible extensive damage to the passenger compartment.

Its not a good idea.

I understand your point
I have read if you winch allot it can break the frame at the crumple zone and really damage the truck
I am most likely going to make my own but I wanted to see if there were anyone who already did it

Several videos about upgrading the frame (adding a role cage that extends from the passenger compartment into the engin compartment). Probably one of the rules of the race....fun videos to watch.
