Front hitch mount & winch?

Hey all,

I would like to know if I would be able to use a front hitch mount and install a winch to it?

Basically i would like a winch that I can easily remove and go back to a stock look, without changing out my front bumper.

Is it even possible to add something like this in the front?

Sorry if I am using the wrong terms for the accessories. Noob here!

Hope you all understand what I mean!

Searched the forum but didnt find anything without changing the front bumper...

well anything is possible. I don't think there is a kit available. I'm sure if you went to a fab shop they could build something like this for you.

I had something like your talking about years ago with a 2door exploder I used to tow behind my motorhome while going hunting for weeks at a time.

No way I remember the name of the product, but I got it at "camping world". They welded two small "female" brackets to the bottom of the front frame rails. The brackets lined up perferctly with two already existing trim pieces on the bumper which could be removed when needed. Then the "male" ends of the tow bar would slide into the bumper area and connect to the brackets.

The system worked so well, I took it to a welding shop and had them build a second bar with the same size male ends and a cross bar with a class C reciver in the center. This way I could use my warn winch, which came from the factory on a platform that had a class c "stinger" already built in, either in the front or rear of the vehicle. It worked very well! Still have the winch, sold everything else. But I bet you can still do something like this but you might have to either remove the lower portion of the 4R bumper or cut a couple of small holes just in front of the front frame rails.

I did contact a couple of welders and they gave me an astronomical price.....4 digits....:toilet:
I guess NYC isnt 'custom-friendly'.....?

I did a little research and low and behold, I found the product I was discussing above, Stowmaster Tow Bar - Item - Camping World If you go to that site, you will see the tow bar, but not the way it connects to a vehicle. It has to connect somehow, and those brackets are what you are looking for. At least they were some years ago. (The brackets may be different know, I can't tell from the web site).

According to the site, there are at least 4 of these stores in NY, hopefully one near you and you can go check it out.
 
I did a little more research, and I found this web site:

If you go there, then to the bottom of the initial page, you will see a link to the owners manual. Click on that link then go to page 10, figure 12, and in the drawing you will see the brackets I am talking about. You may be able to order the brackets "only" from roadmaster, then fabricate the rest.
