Front Hub Noise

There are a couple helpful front end threads here recently, that information may come in handy very shortly.
The left front hub on my 95 4Runner makes a "scraping" noise when I turn to the left, but only when the vehicle is in 4WD. I'll be having a look at it(when the rain lets up a little), any ideas what I should look for?

scraping noise

Check the drive axle boots first. Alao check the stops where thw hub meets the lower control arm, should be an aluminum strip bolted there.

The boots look OK. I've also noticed a slight pulsation in the steering wheel when I brake, that may point to a wheel bearing or CV joint.
This 4Runner is kind of a project vehicle, I need to take it apart and have a look at everything just to see what's up.

vibration

If you can jack up the front end one tire ata time and try to move the wheel. If their is play try to determine what is not tight. Could be a tie rod end or wheel bearings. Have someone help as four eyes are better than two.
