front ifs 3rd r&p 2nd gen vs 3rd gen

did some research but couldn't find anything, but i was wondering if anyone knows that the two ifs 3rd from the 1st n 2nd gen 4runners has the same size ring n pinion? can i take r&p from the other and swap? can i take locker from the other 3rd and fit the other? thanks

They are the same size at 7.5"

But the Tacoma and 4runner have a high pinion clamshell which means that the gear will be reverse cut.

As a result the gears from the earlier model IFS will not interchange.

ok that makes since thanks do you know if both housing can interchange locker? i would think so if there the same size and when i looked up aussie and lockrite locker they share the same part number for both model/gen truck
