Could not get OEM front license plate mounting plate.
My dealer simply drilled two screws through the license plate corner holes and into the front bumper. Idiots.![]()
That must be standard. Mine did the same thing. Is there a stock mount?
Could not get OEM front license plate mounting plate. Co-worker just bought a Subaru Outback and guess what? With minor fitting it looks almost like custom made mounting plate. $35.00 in a local Subaru dealer
Subaru bracket has 4 pads with 3M self adhesive tape and two holes to screw in to the bumper. Those two holes perfectly correspond with existing holes in the bumper (from dealer attaching the license plate in the first place). 3 out of four pads with 3M tape are touching bumper , so I used them too to assure a solid attachment to the bumper. How do those screw in to the 4runner bumper?
I am not sure about it in my state, but would not like to give another reason to the police officer to stop me.I know some states, like Virginia, can't force anything that's not stock from the factory. That means even if they require front plates, they can't force you to mod your ride if it didn't come with the mount. That true anywhere else?

One positive thing about GA, we don't have to have front plates.

Your 2014 trail should have come with a bracket. If it didn't there is a 2014 specific bracket you should use insteadWill it fit my 2014 trail bumper? If so, what is the part number I can check at a local Subaru?
