Front license plate mounting plate

Bought my TRD Pro an other state not requiring front plate. So got a price today from dealer in VA. $71.68 for front mounting bracket & they would mount for free. Not my number one choice. The homemade 'grill' mount is clean, I just don't know how much that will impede air flow and cooling at 80mph on road trips...

I recently picked up my TRD Pro and it came with a front mounting bracket. It was just lying in the cargo area wrapped in plastic. Fits the curve of the front bumper perfectly. If anyone wants pics, I can upload tomorrow.

My 2015 TE came with one, it was stuffed under the passenger seat. Nevada law says you must use a front plate IF the vehicle is equipped with a mounting plate, so I won't use it. If someone needs one let me know.

That's the same one that came with my TRD Pro. Thanks for posting the pics.

I know some states, like Virginia, can't force anything that's not stock from the factory. That means even if they require front plates, they can't force you to mod your ride if it didn't come with the mount. That true anywhere else?

True in NV but it's really PC for a stop. Then it's on baby...street gymnastics, x-ray vision plain view search and the dog. All cuz you said, "it's not required." John Law will let you know what's required and give you plenty of time to brush up on your manners, and legal 101. It would make a great date night in our town.

Whoever told you that is wrong.

The license plate assigned to a tractor truck shall be attached to the front of the vehicle. The license plates issued to licensed motor vehicle dealers and to persons licensed as transporters of unladen vehicles shall consist of one plate for each set issued and shall be attached to the rear of the vehicle to which it is assigned.

I bought my 15 TE in NY State, so it came with a front plate mount.
However, I moved to a state that does not have front license plates, so I'd like to remove that empty place em mount.
How is the stock holder mounted to the bumper?
With screws or sticky tape?
Is it easy to remove? Does it leave big holes?
