Front lift too high?

Installed my 3'' lift from Toytec today and I feel like the front end might have ended up more than 3''.

I'm sitting at nearly 25'' center of hub to fender in the front, and 24'' center of hub to fender in the rear, stock weight, v6, 1/2 tank gas.

Coil-overs came pre-assembled, so nothing I could have messed up there. I did loosen the bolt that attaches the upper control arm to the frame to help fit the coil-over more easily. After putting the truck back on the ground I re-tightend that bolt to factory torque. Anything else I should be checking before I get it aligned tomorrow?

After I installed my TOYTEC ultimate lift I had closer to the same measurement in the front. I did have close to 4" and change in the rear(i did get super flex coils). That was over a year ago. I now sit closer to where most do...but I feel my front end is more currently lower and my back end is better now and even more prefect with my swing away is complete.

I can tell you the week after my lift it was higher. After one outing it didn't measure or feel like it though. Write down your measurement and check it in 2 weeks it should be good.
 
By the way my reply is to try to help in the area that it may seem high and [MENTION=50342]JayRolla[/MENTION] is correct the front really shouldn't change unless you add more weight to my knowledge or change your adjustments on the coil/shock. I will argue to myself that I didn't change my front but I did lose some height on my front but I feel its because I didn't order the right coils and have to much weight on the front setup. My rear will sag 4 times faster now that i've added swing away and a soon to be canopy setup for the rear. I do know my coils weren't designed for weight and were my solution till I can get my new setup in hopefully christmas of 2017 :)

In all reality after a week it wont seem high enough or too high :P

They settle. Just add a plate bumper and winch. Worked for me. And if the OP's numbers are correct once that rear "settles" out the reverse rake is gonna get worse.

OP are you sure the coilovers are set on the first perch? With the numbers you're getting it seems like they might be set higher. I have a similar toytech lift but with the Billstein struts. My truck's numbers where pre lift height 20.5" all the way around. Post lift it's sitting at 24".

The rear hasn't settled at all and is still the same height. The front "settled" to 23.5 after adding my bumper. I specifically got the toytec kit with the 625# Eibach coil with that in mind.

I'm planning on checking the perch it is set on and the model number printed on the springs tomorrow morning. Maybe in ToyTec's transition to their new location last week they made a mistake with all the craziness.

That's not settling that's adding weight. Big difference.
 
Here are some images of the install. I measured again this morning and I'm sitting at about 24.5" in the front now. Looks to be on the lowest shock perch at first glance. Couldn't see the model number of the spring; of course it's on the side of the spring facing the frame. CV angle seems high to me even with the diff drop. Any other input?

That's still high. I didn't use a diff drop in mine. My CV boots on both sides leaked within a few days and tore within a week. I was expecting that so I just rebooted them and they have been fine since. The kit I used is the the BK-9602. Everything is the same between my kit and yours other then the front strut. Mine came with Billsteiins.

Have you driven it yet? The install looks correct from the photo's. I'd take it for a drive and see how it feels. I'd also try and make sure they sent the right springs. They should be the 116-620's which have a 620# rate. If they sent you a heavier spring that could be the reason you're seeing the extra 1/2" or so.

I'm at about 2" lift with 1" BL and 285x75x16 (32.8") tires, King front end resulting in around 29.5" distance from ground to fender, center of tire.

My CV are fine. I don't think you have too worry about too much lift but I wouldn't go higher.

You should *always* use a diff drop when lifting these trucks. It is easy and dirt cheap. Skipping is it a recipe for a bad time.

For the kit the OP has installed it's high. Apples to apples not apples to oranges. lol As far as the diff drop goes, that's your opinion and your entitled to it. I don't agree that they are needed so I didn't install mine. If I bind and break a shaft that's my problem but it hasn't happened yet.
 
Went to check model numbers on the springs today and in doing so realized toytec had labeled each shock driver side and passenger side. Ive gone to work switching the two but the problem I'm running into is that the drivers side specifies one comes in contact with the spindle. Is side specific really going to matter in the front though? I'm not going to keep slaving away switching the two if it doesn't matter and they fit better on the opposite sides
 
I'm planning on calling them first thing Monday. They're closed on the weekend. I managed to get the coilovers on their respective sides, but it didn't change anything. Still netting near 25" from center hub to fender front (a whole inch higher than the rear), which seems high compared to what other forum users are posting up.
