If there is any doubt you want a front locker watch how gentle this crossing goes with zero wheel spin. Filmed in 4k if you click on settings.

dat mad IFS flex tho

:D
Well the wheel is on the drivers bump stop and the kings are set up as extended travel. I know they are a hair shorter than other extended travel. It works ok for what it is.

Sounds like my old bed. :p

Yes very annoying

That's wicked!

Thanks

What's with the squeaking?

Nice (roof) rack btw!

The rear driver side coil was squeeking like crazy. After the first day I lubed it up good but didn't help. I then went to the car wash and shoved the hose up there and that did help. Then an hour into the trail it started again. Same thing every day specifically when the truck was more loaded down. They're coming out soon anyhow. Thanks on the roof rack, it was a rushed job that in retrospect I'd done some things differently had I thought about it more.

Glad mine isn't the only one that squeaks like an old mattress, lol.

Lmk if you find a solution

Love the car porn. Good stuff. Even had the real bed sounds and all!

Hah Thanks

Mine squeaks when it's flexing out but not that bad. Is it not normal?

No it isn't normal. Mine started last trip to Moab in March.

He sure made it across without mad flex didn't he :)

Sure he did. I'm not making fun of his IFS, I'm making fun of the guys that make fun of IFS.

I love that he gets out there and gets on "rock crawler" lines without a solid axle in front. Even better that he makes it look easy.

Mmmmmm 4runners in 4k. I love it!

Looked super easy, but I know that the locker played a big part in that..

I heard that a lot on this trip..I was always in the first 2-3 vehicles and it kept coming over the radio "man that 4Runner made that look easy" and I was the smallest rig every time except once. The locker is great but don't forget gearing, line choice, HC bumpers and yada that make in work together. I wish I had a crawler box..I drive a lot with both feet still trying to control my speed through obstacles. Here's one were the leader goes right and I try to make it as hard as possible and go left. I guess if I don't have the locker iit would have been harder but what's the point of spinning out when I know how to precisely apply the magic button and ease up. Makes you hungry for obstacles ...Turn down the volume....but if you listen through that squeak you can here my new exhaust...

I agree, IFS is good both worlds if running daily driver. With front and rear lockers they can keep up.

The Bastard is still parked, if you can believe it, and you've gotten way too good for me to even think about following you in the wife's stocker :D. I'm fixing to get back to finishing the motor swap here in the next couple of months, and then once I've get the bugs worked out a little Moab time will definitely be on the agenda. I'll let you know for sure.

Who'd you meet?

Lmk if you find a solution.

I'm 95% sure it's control arm bushings, or maybe sway bar bushings that are noisy on mine. It's all in the front end for me. One of these days I'll get under there with some lithium grease and see what I can make go away.
