Front Pass. Side Turn Signal Not Working - Replaced Bulb

Recently my passenger side turn signal started blinking quickly, an indication that a bulb was out, so I confirmed that the front passenger side bulb was in fact out and I replaced it. However, the turn signal still blinks quickly as if the bulb still wasn't working. Any thoughts on what might be going on?

This is for a 2000 4Runner
