Front Passenger Power Window Fix Needed

I had body work done a year or so ago and they replaced my front passenger door. Ever since, when I use the 'express up' for that door's window it opens halfway after closing all by itself. I took it back to the body shop and they "did all they could," but still didn't solve the issue. I brought it back another time and they brought it to a Toyota dealership where still, nothing got resolved. The body shop has contacted me again, and they want to take the truck for a "few days" and stick me with a rental but that's problematic since I use my runner for work.

I'm guessing that the window is set improperly and this is some kind of safety feature. Does anyone here know how to "reset" the window motor to act normally?

Thanks in advance for any reply,

I'll give it a try. So these windows are set up to close soft and reverse if a certain amount of resistance is sensed to save small fingers and such. Have you tried putting something like a paper cup in the opening on the drivers side window and closing it on it? I want to know if it backs down the same amount.

It appears to...I think it's a safety feature so that it doesn't cut off baby fingers or something.

Again, the pass window always worked fine until I had the body work done.

When the body shop was trying to fix, the dealership told them that they have to "reset" the window so it "knows" when it's fully closed. Everything they tried, (holding the window switch up or down for 15 sec with the key on engine off, etc), failed to work.

Pretty minor, I guess, in the scheme of things, but I used to express up and express down the front two windows every time I got in or out...it's a convenient feature, fo sho.

Any chance there's something in the top of the track or it's tight at the top where the glass seats? You know like it doesn't quite make the last eighth of an inch.

None. I even pulled the window channel/weather strip to make sure it was pressed onto the window frame all the way.

Window appears to seal as it should. For all intents and purposes, except for express up, the window works perfectly.
