Front & Rear Bumbers for 5th Generation

OK., guys, I am brand new to this forum. Forgive my ignorance.

I have been searching for a front/rear bumper for my new 2013 4runner Trail for 2 weeks. I can't find anything that is 'here it is, ready to go.'

Is there one out there NOW that does not require a full-blown shop to install.

I'm just a guy with a driveway and a toolbox.

OR, is there a front grille out there that will offer some STRONG protection that is bolt-on? (I live in New Mexico, own a ranch, and deer are a real hazard.)

When you mount something this heavy though you will probably want to upgrade suspension too. A bull bar offers not much protection. This is the way to go if you just want to move them out of the way.

If you don't want to wait on a Schrockworks, this is definitely the best option. I've been researching them a bit myself and the install looks like quite an ordeal. Cutting plastic panels, etc. it's definitely not a simple bolt-on like a wrangler or something. And I second the front suspension upgrade.

Bumper Bummer

Looking at the ARB install looks impossible for someone with my limited abilities and time.

I would think there would be a bolt-on out there somewhere, but I guess not.

Is Schrockworks working on a front bumper for the 2013 4Runner? A link?

What about a grille protector that actually 'protects,' and not something just for looks.

Front Bumpers (that I can remember)...
Shrockworks, Budbuilt, ARB, Demello (only one that I know of, not a production unit), and there is a tube bumper that has come to light but can't think of the name.

Rear Bumpers...
Budbuilt, Shrockworks, 4x4Labs (needs frame work), Hefty Fab, and a couple of people have done there own.

I am sure that more units for both with come up.

I live in the hill country of TX, big deer problems white tail not them mule-ies you got, I bought an ARCRITE brush guard no cutting just bolt right on not gonna help if your running 90+ and hit one but it will protect the radiator and your head lights that type of thing pretty solid. I had one on my TACO before the one on my runner. They also seem to be built better than a ranch hand

I was born and raised in NB. It's changed way too much for me. Left in 2000.

I'm going with a shrockworks front bumper, they look like the best option for me. I guide hunts for a living and am in areas with high deer and elk populations. I just want something to lessen the blow if a hit one

To the OP, I can put a dent in the deer population for ya :cowboy:

Arc-Rite (Arc-Rite Truck Accessories -Del Rio, Texas -Grill Guards, Running Boards, Bed Liners, Tool Boxes, Bumpers,Trailer Hitches, Grille Guards, Cattle Guards, Bull Guards, Stirrup Steps, Nerf Steps, Nerf Bars, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisianna, Te) came through with model #AR 11T12XB. They say is a bolt-on for the 2013 4Runner. I got several options they offered that appear to give it more support, but I did not go for a textured coating that was a couple hundred extra $. The cost of grille & hardware was $487.00 and shipping from Del Rio, TX to my corner of of New mexico was 169.00. I will return to forum after I receive and install with comments and photos.

I'd like to add a front 2" hitch so I could move a winch from front to back, but am not sure it will fit with the new grille, given that I think they will bolt to the same place. Any thoughts on that?

I am also looking to add a rear metal bumper, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't know if this is what you are looking for or not, but I had Bud make these to my specs. Super solid and held up to being rear ended by the GeekSquad van with no damage to my truck. The van was mashed up pretty good.

I like how Bud integrated the lower lights, but I think they would look better if they were angled to follow the lower line of the bumper.. or split the difference at least... maybe the pics don't do it proper justice. Did a quick mockup with [MENTION=750]Gadget[/MENTION] truck...

I love my rear ShrockWorks bumpers. And on the front I have the Rocktek Tube bumper. I put both on in my driveway.

Rocktek bumper are avail on my site.

Good luck choosing. It's a tough choice.
