Front Right Axle Seal leaking! :(

I'm new to this forum and have been looking but can't find a thread....

My wife and I just recently bought a 2003 4r (127K miles) and after the first night of having it there was a leak. I looked at it and its coming from the front right axle seal. I took it to the dealership and they confirmed the leak. They want $260 bucks to replace the seal. Is this a difficult fix? Is it something I can do? Did the seal break due to a plugged breather?

Thanks for the info...money is tight and I'd like to do the fix if possible.

We have a 2006 and just had shenanigans with ours. We replaced the cv axle and had a leak. So 3 seals later, it was still leaking. Our last resort was Toyota. It was 400 bucks! But, it isn't leaking. My husband (pretty good with mechanics), did the work himself and didn't take too long. It turned out it wasn't a defective seal or axle, it was the tube that runs up into the engine compartment was "slightly" (what Toyota said), clogged. They replaced the seal anyways and we haven't had any issues. 1 year warranty too!
