Front Shock, Coil, recommendations. Possible leveling Coil.

So while fixing my GF’s 02’ Evap leak on the Tank Check Valve. I noticed a good amount of Oil residue from a few leaks. I had cleaned it up prior to get a better idea of where the leak is coming from and I’m most certain it’s from the Valve covers. But it also looks like the front Passenger shock is blown and leaking as well.

As for the valve covers, I’m gonna do a reformist first until I can get to the timeing belt swap mid next year.

But I’ll have to get the Front shocks replaced soon.
It currently has OEM shocks with a leveling spacer about 1.5”
The rear has an OLd Man Emu 1.5 lift Coil

What do you guys recommend for the front Shock/Coil replacement?
I read somewhere that the 99’ 4runner had a taller Coil spring?

Or should I just go with a new Bilstein 5100 and use the same coils and leveling spacer?

As of right now, the ride height is level and it rises fairly well. It’s not on the soft side, still rides like a truck. My concern is it being too stiff if I swap the spring or add the 5100 that it will rattle the dashboard too much.

Any insight would be appreciated.

courtesy of@phattyduck. "The front suspension uses (coil over) shocks, but they will often be (incorrectly) called struts.

For OEM-like ride, go OEM. They will last another 15-20 years.

For slightly more controlled ride, go with Bilstein 4600. Those seem to last ~10 years (they did for me, at least).

For a mild lift, Bilstein 5100's are popular (with new lift springs in the back)... From there, the choices get complicated.

If you are happy with your current ride height, just replace the shocks (and top bushings, but most shock sets come with those). New springs and other parts are only needed if you want to change the ride height."

I just redid my front struts with OEM Toyota and my rears OEM. Ride is amazing. Exactly like I remember driving the car off the lot new. Worth every penny.

They lasted 17 years and 250k miles. Weren't even leaking but the bushings were shot in the bottom. Has to be the cheapest shocks/struts per mile.

I did not change the springs. Those are still original and still good.

I did change the top supports on the fronts and I changed all ball joints.
