Gonna get some 6112.

Does anyone have any tips about clocking the top hat to the lower eye?

It seems that if one of the tops is on the the eye and the other two have it in the middle it's good.

Or we don't need to worry cause the bottom spins and we can rotate if we need to?

Use the factory assembly that you remove as a guide and assemble the 6112 setup in the same manner.

Once under spring tension, you will not be able to spin the lower mount.

Was planning on buying new upper mounts to keep stocks in one piece.

Was going to preassemble at my friends shop and install st home

Once you get the top 3 bolts for the assembled strut installed (loosely), you will be able to rotate the bottom to line up the hole.

I saw someone just stick a extension in and twist it into place I figure this is possible as the lower mount is floating
