Front spring lift

How about using one of these 2 products to raise the front of my '04 Sport to level it out?

DONT DO IT! I already tried that, and the ride was horrible, plus they squeeked like crazy! FYI- It is a B-Atch to get them in, and worse to get them out!

I already had the spacers before reading the last post. You are right, they are a pain to install. I gave up. But I might try something else instead, like these......

You can flip the silver parts the opposite way and spread the coils apart. If I do it, I think I will zip-tie them to the coil so they don't come out on the road and take somebody out.

Why are you wasting your $ on those worthless items? I'd just get cornfeds and call it a day. easy to install and your ride will be MUCH better than those solutions that you've posted.

I will probably just leave it stock. I don't want to lift the whole truck, just level it out. And you are right, those parts are just a waste of money, but they are cheap (less than $10). They are all now safely back on the shelf at Advance Auto Parts, and my 4 Runner is still jacked up in the rear.

Aftermarket parts that only stretch (or compress) a few coils in the springs are risky. You add tension to the spring around the area where you add the comrpession or expansion (possibly increasing beyond the spring rate) while the rest of the spring remains the same. I have seen those types of lifts break springs before and it costs a lot more to replace the springs and fix the damage from a broken spring than it does to install the correct parts in the first place. If you want to lift, plan to spend a minimum of $300-$500.
