After some light wheeling this weekend, I have developed a strange noise in front driver side suspension, like a creaking only when the left side compresses (hearing it on bumps, driveway, etc). Upper and lower ball joint boots look good; swaybar endlinks are tight and intact. I raised the driver side wheel to test to play in the ball joints, etc. The wheel is firm when trying to move it at the 12 and 6 position - there is some play at the 9 and 3 - am I looking at a bad outer tie rod?
I am planning a full rebuild of the front end when I install my lift in a month or two (upper/lower bj, outter tie rods (all taco parts), steering rack bushings, swaybar bushings). I am just wondering if I need to accelerate that plan. I dont' mind noises if I know what they are.
Thanks!
