Front sway bar links and bushings

I recently noticed that the left and right links that connect to my front sway bar are broken. Does anyone know the part numbers for the links and bushings (1998 Toyota 4Runner Limited) as well as the best place to purchase these? Also is the installation pretty straightforward? As always, thanks for the help and guidance.

It's a pretty common issue. For the endlinks, I'd advise not to go with stock again. Those things are weak and will likely break again. Plus, the dealership charges something like $90 each (if not more).

My old 98 Limited also had a busted endlink. I went to wabfab and ordered theirs.

Cheaper than stock and makes them look like popsicle sticks. Plus, now you have the option of disconnecting for off-road. These will NEVER break. And they also come with poly bushings.

Also, you'd probably want to order new sway bar bushings along with it. In my experience, wabfab has been great to work with. He's a Toyota enthusiast and offers great products. (sorry if I sound like a commercial ).

Here is what mine looked like installed. Again, very nice upgrade from stock. Install is a breeze. The only tricky part is taking the OEM endlinks off. The point where it mounts to the a-arm has a nut on there and on the other side, there is what seems to be a rounded head. But it's not round. You can actually use a 10mm or 12mm (can

advance had them specifically for my 01 Runner , cant beat it for $30 and if and when i break the other one ill most definitely buy another Moog

For me, the quality and integrity of the product was more important. I could care less if the product had a lifetime warranty if it were going to break on me every few months. I

whose to say its not better than OEM just b/c it has a lifetime warranty doesnt mean its cheap and will break all the time, lol

All the ones I've seen are as skinny or skinnier than OEM. I'd actually trust the OEM part more than those. Post up a picture of the ones you got. Are they bigger than OEM? How's the quality? If they're stout, I'd be happy to look into those.

I would go with the wab fab like p nut said. I had stocks, one broke taking the metal brake line on that side with it and forcing me to tow it home to fix and bleed. Not fun. I wonder if moog would cover the tow and brake work, probably not.

and your 4runner is how old? That part will last longer than your truck.

That part was ten years old, so I guess I should say.....
Keep your parts nice and new, don't let them get old and abused and I am sure that any OEM or better quality sway bar end link will work great and last a long time

its cheap, brittle and very weak metal, thats why i bought it for my own truck im not trying to sell you anything so im not going out and taking pics of it, just telling you buy toyota or whatever u want but the Moog is good stuff

all parts you get at any parts store is made to the manufacturers exact specifications. You do know that toyota does not make any of those factory parts. I would almost bet you that a lot of the brands you find in the parts stores, are OEM parts suppliers anyways.

I'm not here to look for stuff to buy, either. All I was asking was to see what exactly you have on your truck. I was very pleased with the wabfab endlink, which is why I posted up a picture of it in hopes to help others. I thought that what this forum was about.
