Do yall have good reviews for Marion bumper2bumper's hub assemblies? I need to replace both of my front wheel bearings so I'm researching all of my possible options. There's cheaper routes, but wheel bearings isn't exactly a place I want to cheap out and get crappy parts. Also, do you need the inner seal to do the job?
Yes, he's pretty recommended in a few forums, the only complaint I see is he took a really long time to ship to some customers and wasn't really good at replying, but that's why I opted for his eBay store. He uses quality parts and repacks the bearings again since they tend to skimp from factory. It's recommended to replace the inner seal when you do it, might as well since they're not that expensive.

took almost a month for mines to come, also ordered new seals.
theres another guy on tacomaworld that has some good feedback.
also someone else on fj cruiser forum sells to, saw a husband a wife youtube channel on how they did the install.

If anyone is looking for these assemblies, at least the 4wd ones, go over to tacomaworld.com and search 05Taco4x4. He usually has these on hand ready to ship same day or next day. $330 and comes with new axle nuts/cotter pins and the spindle seals! Great communication, replies within the hour but usually much faster. Highly recommend.

He also sells bearing/hub assemblies for 2WD as well, the 2WD sells for $390 for the front set.
For those who might need wheel hub assemblies in the future and can wait, I would buy them from Marion on eBay whenever they have their 15% sitewide coupon, that's what I ended up doing even though I didn't need them now. He also offers a 2 year/24k miles warranty. I think I paid around $270 after coupon for two.

So I have read a lot about the cost for the wheel bearings, and what it takes to install them, but I personally want to know how long it will take for someone that has to read line by line what they're doing, or watch 10-15 second clips of a YouTube video as i go.
I am guessing this 3-4 hour job actually takes 10 hours. Basing this off the time it took me to do my timing belt and water pump

If you tackled the TB and WP, then changing out a wheel bearing assembly will be a breeze.
I did mines in -11*f in a non-insulated garage. If you understand the concept of nuts and bolts, this shouldn't take more than an hour or two. Remove the brake caliper and rotor. Remove the axle nut. Undo the 4 bolts holding the bearing assembly to the knuckle, then bang it off. Install is just the reversal.
This is not a 10 hour job. 3-4 hours is plenty for your first time. I've done it a few times. I am guessing with my experience I could knock this out in 45 min a side.

i bought from his ebay store for my second one on 8/28, thinking he might ship it a little quicker but it didn't arrive til 9/18. same old bullshit excuses from old marion, or bill or bob or whatever his name is.
marion's don't come with cotter pins.
with the help of [MENTION=140870]Offcamber[/MENTION] I was able to get mine done in about an hour. i am a mechanically inclined person, but i had only watched it done one other time, never done it myself. it's kinda nice to know how all of that shit comes apart and goes back together. CV axle, though... that might take a lot more youtubin'

It does have a lift with 35's (Came on it when I bought it).
I've looked into the different suppliers including Marion and NJ.
---Thoughts on me just ordering the MasterPro's or a similar autoshop Hub and Bearing?

I would like to keep it until the zombies come. If I can get some bearings and a HUB assembly to last me at least a year, that would be okay with me.
I've dropped a considerable amount in the last week or two, upgrading brakes and rotors, etc... kinda just need to get these things functional to get me through some time to replenish my funds.
I just changed out my passenger side wheel bearing/hub assembly that I purchased through jersey built hubs. When I turned right, mine would hum. Turning left it would go away.
When shaking the wheel holding at 9 and 3 o'clock there was about a 1/3 inch of play back and forth, and spinning the tire was very loud.
I was happy to see that it was built with a koyo bearing when they arrived. Perfect condition and bolt on assembly.
Very easy to change out. took about 2 hours and I've never changed them before.
Very quiet now. Will be changing the driver's side this upcoming Friday as preventive maintenance.
