Where did I bash my competition? I stated a fact that they use a lower quality bearing in their cheaper hub assembly. I also stated that I can build the same assembly with the same lower quality bearing for about the same price, but I choose not to.
I do not manufacture the bearings. Being an ASE certified mechanic & having 8 years experience as a machinist, I can tell you from my education & work experience that there is a difference between the lower quality & higher quality parts. As a machinist I made parts from lower strength metals with broader tolerances and lower quality control. I also machined parts from higher strength metals with tighter tolerances and strict quality control. Being a mechanic I have used many different parts from many different companies. All I can say is you get what you pay for.
As a consumer you have a choice of quality over quantity. You can go into Harbor Freight & buy a ratchet for a dollar or you can buy a Snap-On ratchet for $100. Which one do you think was manufactured with better parts & will be more reliable?
Do you want to be off the grid and have a wheel bearing lock up, or would you like some peace of mind knowing you are rolling on a good quality part? I started building these assemblies for myself & friends because at the time no one offered a 100% bolt on hub assembly at a decent price. I have the tools & knowledge to these & I really enjoy helping people out.
