Front wheel chirping

I have noticed a speed relative front wheel chirp present at any speed but it goes away with the slightest touch of the Brake
Is there anything I can do at home to check a cause or fix this?

Just guessing here but it sounds like your calipers might be seizing.
I had a similar sound from mine, drove like that for quite a while. Eventually the noise would stop, only to come back the next time I drove, like after work.
Gas mileage was crap as well.
Changed to the 5th Gen calipers, rotors etc... and all is good.
Tons of write-up's on the forum regarding 5th Gen brake upgrade.

Been on any gravel roads lately?? Sometimes a piece will get tossed up and stuck between the shield and brake rotor. Look and see if there's a developing groove on the inside of one rotor.

X2 with DMX. Mine did the same thing. Get a cheap IR thermometer from Amazon and see if one rotor is much hotter than the others. Common problem with these old trucks.

It looks like my front left caliper has seized up. I'm planning to have a shop do the 5th gen Brake swap. Will that be something they are capable of? As in will there be any hiccups that I should tell them they should expect? Also should I do all 4 brakes at once or just stick with the front right and left?

Good to see you've found your problem. I had a shop do my front brakes once when it was to cold for me to do them and they left one of the pins loose and the caliper was rattling causing a noise until I hit my brakes. I do my own now.

The only thing I would stay on the shop is to pester them to order parts for a 5th gen, not 4th gen replacements. Or buy them yourself and just pay the shop for labor if you don't feel up to par doing a brake job.

And always do in pairs (both fronts in your case) if you don't want to do all 4.

I'm planning to order the centric brand front brake kit for the 5th gen from rock auto and have the shop do the install. Thanks for the advice and I think for now I'll start with just the fronts.

If you are mechanically inclined and have the tools, brake line wrenches,breaker bars, ratchets, sockets etc, it is not that difficult of a job. I had to heat up some bolts with a torch, PB blaster just wasn't doing it. Beating the front dust shields into submission is the trick on the fronts. The parking brake star adjuster was the PIA for me in the rear brakes.

I have a chirp coming from mine as well and found my front right wheel bearing doesnt roll as smooth like the left side. Mean while the front left caliper is seized as well it will be my third caliper. Maybe you should check your wheel bearings also

Not sure it's related but on my son's 05 I added an xtra clip to brake pads on the caliper. Check see if 1 or 2 ?
