front wheel noise

I have a 1990 runner with ADD. Recently, I am hearing a noise in the right front wheel. My mechanic has changed the bearings in the wheel but the noise is still there. The vacuum to activate/deactivate the four wheel drive is fine. Any suggestions as to what may be causing this noise... it is not steady but is worse on cold days.
