Front wheel studs

I did my tundra brake upgrade and my 17” steel wheels do not have enough off set so the caliper rubs. I do not want to run thick wheel spacers as I have long travel. I’m looking to buy something like these

But then I need to use a little bit longer longer wheel studs because I am not comfortable with the amount of thread engagement for the lug nut.

Anyone know of a longer wheels stud that fits?

Have you looked into ET lug nuts? That might help you get the thread engagement you need without messing with the studs themselves. Plus if you ever changed your wheels down the road you don’t have extra long studs to deal with.

I ended up going with ARP Extended Length studs #100-7715
And Muteki open face lugs

Same studs^ different lugs but similar.

I also ran my pushthrough centercaps through the spacer and wheel which is the closest to hubcentric as i could get with thin spacers. No issues or vibrations so far

How much does it hit? Can you shave down the caliper a little with a flap wheel?

And Muteki open face lugs

Shit, $100 in studs wonder if there is a dorman option, looks like they are Lexus iS300 studs. I’ll be running 5/8 studs soon after I get a few things done and would love to not spend another $100 on something that’s not permanent

Just ordered the ones from the wheel adapter place. Hope they arrive in a decent amount of time. I’ll do the Dorman next if these don’t work.

Ran into a little snag... the knurl is alittle bigger on these studs even though they are not supposed to be. They are .566 or so and stock is .558 and the press fit is just to tight so I’m going to open up the holes on the hub with a .550 reamer.

Got it all taken care of using the wheeladapter.com longer studs, a .550 reamer for the stud holes in the hub and a .250” spacer off the shelf from oriellys.

I’d probably use a smaller reamer if I had to do it over though the studs could be alittle tighter in the knurl just for a little more piece of mind but I have checked torque in the lung nuts a few times and they are holding at 85 ftlbs
