Frozen Caliper

I know the 4th gens have had issues with frozen pistons but having it happen a second time on rebuilt calipers is frustrating. :ybrick: What is it about our trucks that allows this to happen so frequently? It always seems to be the last piston I compress too! Does it have to do with the order I am compressing them? (I know that shouldnt matter but I am trying to figure out something) I tried to replace my front brakes this morning but I am stuck now because there is no place open on Sunday to buy the calipers. Luckily I got them put back together and it will hold me over until next weekend.

Anyone have any info?

Yeah, I've heard remans, atleast from napa have an improved design to prevent this... where did you get your remans?

I bought my calipers from Autopart International. That was the only place I could find them in short order. So this time around if someone has a better reman I would definitly go there. So NAPA has a better rebuild?

What is the cause of the frozen piston and why is it so common?
