Frustrated with the running board issue!

I am totally frustrated in my search for good running boards for my 2011 T4R Ltd! My wife is petite and we just had a baby- so I know that I am going to need them. However, I have not been able to find a single one that is functional, and will work with Husky mud guards.

I found some good Dee Zee ones that one of the members on here has already installed on his Ltd and they look good. But no one seems to have the mounting brackets for them! If they do, they seem to cost a fortune to buy separately.

To add to this BS - I made the mistake of jumping the gun and ordering some nerf bars thinking that they would look good- but I do not like them. So now I am stuck with those $184! ARGHHH!!
Any suggestions?

In the same boat with what Nerf Bars to get with Husky Guards. I do not like how low the OEM Boards go so I'm determined to find Nerf Bars. What didn't you like about the Bars and what color did you do Black/Stainless Steel?

Twodraft- I ordered black Steelcraft 3' nerf bars. I feel like they do not look as 'refined' on my Limited. Also, it looked like they would scratch very easily. I was holding them under the truck to see what they would look like and even that tiny bit of friction scratched them. I am concerned that if this is the case, they will scratch even more with use and end up looking ugly!

The best running boards I found were from DeeZee, i have pics somewhere here on one of the forums. They look great and I couldn't be more pleased. The blend perfectly with the design of the limited and the aluminum/chrome finish matches well. They also extend far enough from the rocker panel to actually use but not too low to kill clearance.

GX boards.

Hi Ktogun,
I tried searching on ROCKAUTO to find the Dee Zee running boards but could not find them. I assumed that they would be under the body exterior category, but could not locate them. Could you please let me know where to find them on their site?
Thanks
CJ

GX boards.

yeah i thought about the gx running boards too and would of added them to a 4runner had i got it. They probably cost though around $1K a side! ouch. thats where some of the big cost diff is between the 4runner and GX!
it wouldnt be a direct fit though as the angles are different at the bottoms of the doors.

There's an Accessories store nearby that sells the DeeZee's nxc boards, I'm going to see if they have any in stock and see how it looks in person. If not find out what the return policy is.
