Hello, I have decided to list our beloved 08' 4Runner. This is quite possibly the nicest example of this vehicle for sale on Kijiji. Low kms, full service history since new, and no accidents. It has been taken care of throughout its life and it is evident in the condition of the vehicle. Everything works and it is even very clean underneath - you will not find a comparable. I searched for almost 6 months before I purchased this 4Runner and looked at dozens of examples, always to find out they were rotting underneath and/or had rust forming in the quarter panels or rear hatch drains. This is the exception. I am a die-hard Toyota fanatic and know everything there is to know about these vehicles, and I will say that this is the nicest 4th Gen I have ever seen. The Shadow Mica color is also very rare (especially combined with the saught after Sport Edition trim level) and the gold metallic flake in the paint shines in the sunlight.

- Recently added a 1" lift of leveling kit using OEM TRD Bilstein Struts and FJ springs
- Has 1.5" wheel spacers to widen the stance on the factory Sport Edition wheels
- Near new BFG A/T tires 265/70/17 which is approx. a 32"
- Pioneer Bluetooth headunit with USB
- Full WeatherTech mat package including the cargo area
- Has followed the Toyota services since new

- Zero issues and ZERO rust!

Beautiful truck! Mine is identical, except it's a 2006. GLWS.

Importing to CA looks challenging:

If the vehicle was not originally manufactured to meet CARB and EPA emission requirements and DOT FMVSS, the vehicle cannot be registered in California, unless the owner of the vehicle qualifies for one of the following exemptions. The vehicle was:

1. Obtained as part of divorce, dissolution, legal separation, or inheritance.

2. Purchased to replace a California-registered vehicle which was damaged, became inoperative beyond reasonable repair, or stolen while out of state.

3. Acquired while the owner was a resident of, or on active military duty in, another state or country where the vehicle was registered in their name for at least one year.

4. Manufactured with an engine displacement of less than 50 cubic centimeters.

I find that very strange... having imported vehicles myself from the US (Oregon, Washington, Arizona, and California) I am surprised that it would be so difficult. I know Americans have been buying Canadian vehicles like crazy right now due to the exchange rate and it's supposed to be a fairly simple import process into the US. I have heard its actually easier to import from Canada into the US than from the US into Canada. California could be the exception though, too many damn rules.

California is usually the exception to the rule. California likes to make everyone's life more difficult.

is or isnt complacent. Theres got to be a way to find out. I cant think that toyota would change a vehicles emissions for such a small market. unless this is a european version or something bu then id think the emissions would be more restrictive.

Thanks for all the interest. The 4Runner sold today.

The new owner was the first person to come look at it and I got full price for the vehicle which made me pretty happy. It really was/is an exceptional rig and I'm glad to see it go to someone who appreciates Toyota's. The new owner pulled up in his 97' Limited 4Runner when he came to look at it and told me that he bought the 97' new and it now has 400,000kms on it. After purchasing my 4Runner, he told me he was planning on keeping it and driving it until the wheels fall off. Good to hear. Hope he enjoys!
