FS: 17x8 Konig CounterSteer Type X - CORONA, CA

In theory, I like the wide aggressive stance these wheels should give on a 4th gen 4R with their -10mm offset (4.1" back spacing) but I worry about fitment and rubbing?

How much lift would a 4th Gen need in order run these wheels with a 265/70-17 tire with an aggressive tread patten (such as the BFG AT's or General AT2's) and not have to worry about a bunch of trimming and modifying body mounts?

I actually like the looks of the 6 Shooters more and feel a little more comfortable with their 0 offset (4.5" back spacing) but those don't come in Anthracite and I don't want to have to pay extra for a "custom" color. These rims (w/ shipping) are already more then I really want to spend.

Dustin had my six shooters powdercoated in anthracite - would highly recommended it. I bet they would look killer against the nautical blue. Like you, I didn't want the negative offset of the countersteers but wanted the lighter grey wheels. I know he now has special pricing to more easily accomodate powdercoating special colors. I would look into it if I were you.

265/70R17 is not a particularly aggressive size on a 4th Gen 4Runner, especially if you don't mind lifting it. You will never rub the body mount. With a 2.0" +/- lift you may or may not rub slightly on the mud flaps and/or bottom of the fender liner depending on how aggressive of a tire you install. Likely you won't rub at all with most 265/70R17 tires, 17x8" / -10mm / 4.5" Konig Countersteer Type X wheels and a 2.0" (give or take) lift.

If you like the Six Shooter better we can definitely talk about custom powder coating you a set in anthracite light gunmetal. The cost is very reasonable. Also, if you can wait a little while, we will be releasing a new finish for the Six Shooter in the near future (around late spring) - full machined gunmetal (polished aluminum face with light gunmetal accents).

Alex, thanks for the info and pic. I've come across those pics before while researching these rim and I will say, that's a sharp ride you got there! :cheers:

I know everyone loves their 16 and 17in wheels but I think there is a perfect balance of wheel and tire on 18s!

It can be done if we can get enough demand to order a small production run from Konig. We can also custom powder coat just about any wheel just about any color in any quantity. :)

Oh the perks of searching.

My 13 trail had Level 8 MK6's but now I've discover the Type X's come in graphite. Looking for a replacement set of wheels for my 15.
