So I am deeply saddened in saying that I have to sell my 1988 4Runner. It has been nothing but good to me and has taken my family and I on many adventures. I purchased it off an old guy that only used it as his vacation car. It spent most of it's life being towed behind an RV and has a cool little knob by the drivers seat to disconnect the driveline when being towed. As it sits now it has just shy of 137,000 miles on it. The paint job is roughly a year old and the tires are 31 inch Maxxis Bighorn's. The car also a Ruenel rear bumper which is a pretty beasty set up if you do any towing. As far as I can tell it also has an aftermarket transmission cooler. From what I have been told the top has never been off and does not leak. The interior is all in great shape with the only oddities being that there are no rear seat headrests and there is a bit of a wear spot on the outside of the drivers seat (Not a hole). It has a few little quirks but overall has proven to be a very reliable and easy to maintain car. You will be hard pressed to find a First Gen in better condition anywhere.
