This is a new OEM gray center console lid from Toyota. As far as I know it will work in any 1996-1998 4Runner with GRAY interior. The console lids changed in 1999, so please do not order this lid if you have a 1999-2002 4Runner. It is a leather or leather-like material - I'm not sure. This is not a cheap reproduction, but the OEM lid from Toyota. I received the wrong lid from the car lot that sold me my 97 4Runner (that has since been sold) - my 4Runner interior was tan/oak, not gray. They mailed this gray lid to me several weeks after I purchased the vehicle. Although this item is new there is not any original packaging with it. There is a tiny little nick on the driver's side front corner and some very, very slight indentations on the padded cover. If you cannot see these extremely minor defects in the photos you probably won't notice them when the lid is installed. This is probably just from warehouse handling and shipping. The two plastic hinge-type pieces are taped to the bottom - this is how the item comes from Toyota. Obviously I never used it.
