Hey there 4Runner forum folks...the time has come for me to part with my 4Runner...lots of blood sweat and tears into this one, but the garage needs more space... For sale on the local Craigslist, but thought I would list it here as well...
For sale - my former daily driver - 1998 Toyota 4Runner SR5 plus a few installed/included extras... No charge for the factory alarm/keyless entry system, or the "custom" Beer, BBQ, and stick figure "family" stickers...
First off...the bad...
1. Rusty... Hard to tell from the pictures, but it has the typical 4Runner "body rot" coming from the North Eastern "rust belt" of our nation. If you see black bedliner, it had rust at one point...rocker panels are in the worst shape when it comes to the rust rot...
2. Check engine light... I had it scanned and the code is for an O2 sensor...they cost less than $100 at any auto parts store...but the truck runs great even with the code...
3. Used...heck, the truck is almost 20 years old, and just about to turn 200k miles...normal wear and tear to be expected...
If you are still reading, here is the good...
1. LOTS of replacement parts/work done...almost too much to list here... Feel free to check out a couple of my build threads here:

2. Dependable... No issues driving this around...averages ~18mpg...
3. Reasonably priced for the amount of new parts installed...
4. Interior is in fairly good shape...no rips or tears in the seats, driver's seat has lumbar support adjustment... Weather-Tech vehicle specific floor guards installed for the front seats. Factory floor mats still installed for rear seats and hatch area...
Quick run down of new stuff (within the last few years)...
-Exhaust (cross-over pipe, cat converter, Aero-Turbine stainless muffler, tail pipe) - It "rumbles"...
-Rear axle housing assembly (housing tube, seals, bearings, axle fluid, brake shoes, brake hardware, brake drums)
-Deck Plate Air Box Mod with Silencer Intake Removal Mod
-Rear suspension & control arm bushings
-Rear axle breather relocation kit (now protected behind gas door)
-U-Joints and balanced rear drive shaft
-Shocks
-Radiator, Timing Belt, Water Pump (30k miles ago)
-TRD External Tranny cooler (isolated from the new dual-core radiator)
-Front brake calipers and ceramic brake pads
-K&N Air Filter
-Red Top Optima gel cell battery
-Iridium Spark Plugs
Also comes with add-ons:
-JVC DVD/Multimedia dual zone head unit, 5ch Alpine digital amplifier, Pioneer Premiere component front speakers, Alpine Rear speakers and Alpine dual 10" subwoofers. (A/V & USB Inputs are hard wired to jacks in the console - A/V "zone 2" outputs are wired in to jacks located in the rear hatch - perfect for tailgate parties)
-Additional 12v outlets in console and hatch
-2/0 power and ground distribution from battery to under driver's seat
-External Tom Tom GPS antenna with mini-USB power feed wired in from dash
-Toyota brand grill guard
-Safari style roof rack storage
All extras listed below will be added if full asking price is met...
A brand new set of factory chrome lug nuts, a brand new set of 1.5" hub-centric wheel spacers, a brand new poly-urethane body mount kit with stainless hardware (scoured the forum for this kit provider, just never installed)...
I also have a set of Toyota factory service manuals for this year/model...
