This has been my daily driver for 17 years. Originally a California vehicle, I've had it in Wisconsin for the last ten years. It's completely original and stock except for the locking hubs; I swapped out the automatics for OEM Aisin manual hubs. I also replaced the original radio/cassette player for a later CD/cassette/radio. I still have the original and will gladly give it to the buyer.
It has 211,500 miles on it. The engine was rebuilt as part of the recall at 121,000 miles. I had the timing belt, water pump, idler pulley, etc. all replaced less than 8,000 miles back. The Kumho road tires have about 15,000 miles on them max.
The bad:
The gas gauge sensor doesn't work; I use the trip odometer to keep track of fuel.
The passenger side power window has a short somewhere in the line. I jumped it directly to the battery and ran it up and down about forty times with no problem.
The body is beginning to rust from Wisconsin road salt. It's not bad yet.
The windshield has a crack on the driver's side.
The starter needs to be rebuilt. Occasionally the contacts will stick and it won't start. Five minutes later it's fine.
The control for the heat level has become detached.
The good: As I said, it's been my daily driver for 17 years and has never let me down. Original upholstery with no rips or stains. Sunroof. Power windows and door locks. Power antenna. Cruise. Had a leak in the AC, recharged it with R12 two years ago and it still blows cold. I have two more cans of R12 that I'll throw in with the truck.
