I’m selling a rear differential breather kit for our trucks. This kit relocates the breather into the engine bay near the other breathers. There are two reasons you would want to do this:

1. You drive in deep water: if you’re on a trail and your rear differential becomes submerged, the sudden cooling of the differential causes the pressure in the housing to drop. Water gets sucked into your housing, mixes with the gear oil, and damages your differential.
2. Your breather doesn’t work anymore: If you have an old or rusted breather, there’s a good chance it is no longer working. If the breather can’t release pressure and oil gets pushed out of the differential seals, causing premature wear.

This is a “beginner friendly” DIY, so no need to be intimidated! My instructions (provided here) will walk you through the entire process from start to finish. I’ll also provide my contact information for you to reach out if any issues come up.

• 15 feet low pressure fuel line
• 1 male brass barb (Threads into rear differential)
• Breather assembly (90 micron nickel-plated steel breather and female brass barb, assembled with teflon tape)
• 2 stainless steel worm drive clamps
• 1 galvanized steel loop clamp
• M6 locknut
• 10 zip ties

• 14 mm wrench or deep socket
• 10 mm wrench or socket
