This is a hard one to let go. I have owned this 4Runner since February 2008. It has been the best most dependable vehicle I have ever owned. I like this truck so much I went ahead and bought a 2018 4Runner to replace it.
The Details
The truck has 210k miles on it. I have driven it 160k of those miles. In the time I have owned it there have been no major mechanical failures. Normal maintenance has been the majority of the work done to the truck. I believe Toyota makes the best vehicles on the road and in order to keep them on the road they need OEM parts. I have made every effort possible to repair and maintain with OEM parts.
This truck has been used during the time I have owned it. I have hauled my family, friends, dogs trailers, bikes, kayaks, gone offroad etc. It’s been a daily driver and would still be my daily driver but after 10 years I had an itch for something new. With that said the paint is original it is not perfect, it normal chips, nicks, scratches and dings but it is still the original paint with the exception of the rear bumper. This truck is also extremely rust free for being a truck of the midwest. I have undercoated with Fluid Film in 2008 and 2014 and believe this has really helped save this truck. I have already bought fluid film to coat my 2018 before winter arrives.
I have record of all the maintenance and service I have done to this truck since I have owned it. I have ran Mobile One synthetic in it since 96k.
The Modifications
Suspension/ Chassis
OEM Wheels with BFG KO2 265/75 R16 Tires
Tundra Bilstein 5100 shocks and springs up front
Tundra Bilstein 5100 rear shocks

The result is about 2.5”-3” from factory
Undercoated with Fluid Film
Exterior

OEM Matching spare wheel
Brakes
Upgraded front brakes with OEM Tundra calipers and rotors
These provide excellent stopping and pad life
