Started this in 2013 and it’s been sitting on the shelf since. It’s about 75% complete. Just not interested in finishing it and I’d like to let another 4Runner enthusiast complete it and put it to use. Driver’s side is 100% completed, and passenger side needs finished reflector bowl & shroud painting, and final aiming/ assembly. All of the cutting on the reflector bowl and Gatling Gun shroud is done, which is the most time consuming part, IMO.

About the build:
I chose Duplicolor Engine Enamel paint that’s rated for 500 degrees since HID’s get really hot. I used Low Gloss black paint for the reflector bowl and gloss black for the Gatling Gun shrouds to give some contrast. I put an 100mm amber Morimoto Angel Eyes behind it and was going to run it as a secondary turn signal, but it could be wired up as a DRL if desired. The openings on the shrouds were widened to make the Angel Eyes more visible. The inner tabs of the shroud were modified to allow the shroud to sit further back on the projector and closer to the reflector bucket to make for a sleeker finished product. The unfinished headlight’s reflector bucket has a small chip on the corner of it but can be glued back on. Won’t affect the glass lens from sealing with the butyl. I had laid a coat of Low Gloss paint and got some orange peel on this reflector bowl, and that’s the last time I touched this project. Probably want to sand it back down to repaint but could be left as-is of you’re not as OCD as I am lol. Just wanted to throw that out there for the sake of full disclosure.
