So most of the Sport Hoods I have sold have been in great condition, but there are going to be some that have sheet metal damage or other issues. For most of these I am going to remove the scoop insert and insulator and sell those first. There is strong demand for these two parts and Toyota charges a lot for them brand new. Everyone knows the scoop insert is $150, but when I called Toyota of Dallas yesterday I got a quote of $285 for the insulator - not cheap. A Toyota parts dealer on eBay is selling brand-new scoop inserts for $198.71.

For those that have access to a body shop that does good work and doesn't charge too much these bent and dent Sport hoods might be a good option for you.

I'll simply post each newly acquired/slightly damaged OEM Sport hood on this thread and mark it sold as necessary. If it isn't marked sold it is still available.

If your 4Runner is not one of the six colors listed below it probably doesn't really matter which color you buy since it will be repainted anyway. You could always paint it flat black until you are ready to spend the money to have it color-matched. If you paint it flat black it would probably look sharp to color match the scoop insert to your factory paint. Most people can paint the scoop insert at home.

The price for this hood is $75. This is without the scoop insert and heat shield which have already been sold.

This hood has a few rough spots. The price is $75. For those of you who have been asking me about an OEM Sport hood for less money this might be your hood. A good body shop can repair the crease and other minor sheet metal issues.

This Sport hood doesn't have paint nearly as nice as the other two Gray hoods I sold, but will work well for someone who is going to repaint anyway. As you can see there is a depression/crease right in front of the scoop insert and some paint issues on the passenger side. The Sport hoods only came in Gray one year... 2002.

If your 4Runner is not one of the six colors listed below it probably doesn't really matter which color you buy since it will be repainted anyway. You could always paint it flat black until you are ready to spend the money to have it color-matched. If you paint it flat black it would probably look sharp to color match the scoop insert to your factory paint. Most people can paint the scoop insert at home.

A good body shop can repair the small dent. This OEM Sport hood has some pin striping down the center of the hood (well... almost the center). There is no extra charge for the deluxe pin striping!

This is a complete Sport hood, the matching scoop insert and heat shield are included. This hood is the only one on this thread that doesn't have any bends, dents, or dings. The main issue with it is the bondo that you can see in the photo.

The price is $245! For those of you who have been asking me about an OEM Sport hood for less money this might be your hood. A good body shop can paint over the bondo - people have been doing it for years.

I sell the scoop inserts for $89 and the heat shields for $85. If you factor those prices into this complete OEM Sport hood I am selling the actual hood component for $71!

GREEN B has been SOLD to Tony from Louisiana!

Just got this green Sport hood yesterday. It has 3 small dings so I am selling it here without the heat shield and scoop insert. The price is $95.
