I have for sale a custom made tire rack carrier for the 96-02 4runner, it was specifically designed to fit a 1996 4Runner with a 1.5" body lift. My idea was to create a swingout tirerack that still incorporated the stock bumper and it works perfectly. I ended up spending over $1000 to get this built just right. It includes a license plate mount with LED LP lights and harness, professional grade bump stops, Daystaco locking latch, and a Comp 4x4 heavy duty hinge. It has a mount for a 48" hi lift jack. It also includes an integrated trailer hitch, as it was built onto the unit for added strength. I will take $350 for it, it is extremely structurally sound but could use some fresh paint or powdercoating.

Still for sale!! Had a few of the same questions come up. This was built on a truck with 1.5"BL. If your gonna run it with no BL you will likely need to come up with some kind of spacer ~1.5" to go between the frame and the tire carrier (maybe 1.5" square tubing with holes drilled...I dunno)

I think you could get away with 1.5" square tubing as a spacer between your chassis and tire carrier, it might hang down slightly but doubt it would be enough to matter. That's why im selling it for literally the cost of the bare parts without the 2 full days of labor it took to build!:flypig:

I might look into this in the future, but making a custom box or shipping on a pallet would be a huge PITA. Hopefully someone locally or "driving through" DFW sees this add. Thanks for your interest though!

I want it. I'll make it work w/o lift. I live near Austin, so I can't go get it until the weekend. Will it fit in the back of a 4Runner?
