We’ve decided to sell our 2005 4Runner after owning it since new.
It has been a longtime family vehicle, serviced at the Toyota dealer essentially its entire life, and is in very good overall condition for its age and mileage. It has spent its life in the SF Bay Area, has no significant rust, and has no accident history.
Details:
Coolant is entering cylinder #4 and causing a misfire. Our mechanic diagnosed a failed head gasket and quoted roughly $6,000–$8,000 for the repair.
We’ve decided not to do the repair ourselves, but it's perfect for someone that can do the work.
Aside from the engine issue, the truck is in great shape and has been consistently maintained. It's been a family vehicle, never off-roaded or modified. We took it to ski in Tahoe probably 10 times over the last 5 years.
We’d much rather see it go to someone who appreciates 4Runners and can put it back on the road than send it to a wholesaler.
Asking $7,000 OBO.
Happy to provide VIN, Toyota service history, mechanic paperwork, and detailed photos of the frame/undercarriage.
