FS: 4th Gen Coil-Overs

Bielecki

New member
I am selling Good Time's Downey coil-overs. I purchased them from him several months ago. I'm selling them because I sold my 4th gen. I'm asking $150 + shipping (what I paid, never installed). This includes the spanner to adjust the height.

Anyways, good luck with trying to sell those coilovers. It appears as if they have been around the block a time or two. As a matter of fact, it look as if they have been around the neighborhood several times.

I apologize for the confusion. Ironically, I assumed a seasoned reader when I wrote this ad. I said these were GT's coil-overs, he had them on for a few years. Look for his buildups here or on YT. I never installed them on my 4R.

You seem to infer that you know a lot about the lifetime of these coil-overs. Prove to me that they are overpriced, and I will lower the price. Prove to me they are useless, and I will toss them in the trash. If anything, they seem to be priced low IMHO.

This is how I see it. These go for $980 + shipping new. The shocks are Bilstein's and last a long time. In my experience, they are a better quality shock than the OME's. I did a little bit of investigation work before I bought them from GT, since I know he used them with a heavier bumper. The only real wear item that I know of from Downey is the coils. Downey sells replacements for $80/piece. These can be replaced with a spring compressor. Even then, I did not get the impression from GT that I would need to swap in new coils for awhile. Downey thinks their coil-overs should last at least 10 yrs (less coil sagging) provided you don't go desert racing.

So, in my opinion you can save a couple hundred dollars and still have coil-overs that will last a long time.

Just to clear up the content, these coilovers are used. I can't guarantee the longevity of the coilover itself but I would guestimate (based on conversations with Downey) that they will last years of use.

If anyone has any specific information regarding the condition of these coils, message anytime. I feel that the price sold to Bielecki was more than reasonable. For the price, you can't beat it since anything new would be 4-5 times more than that.

Hopefully it'll find a home soon.

Good luck
