Hey guys,
Been fighting 'the sick', as we're calling it here, there's a East and West coast flu attacking everyone here. Lost a couple days of work, but still managing to get some things done.
For those that I have been in contact with, your racks were shipped out today.
Also, I will have a few done and delivered to my powder coater later this week and they'll ship next.

Got mine a week or so ago, love it! Sorry no real pictures yet but alex was a pleasure to work with and its a great product!
Just an update on the fairing placement, its been great and no noise even with the santa ana winds coming through the valley. :first:

Picked up a package from the local freight folks and promptly chew through it as soon as I got home:
Additional props to [MENTION=68079]drabbits[/MENTION] for an excellent packing job, the powdercoat looks GREAT and I dont see any signs of damage from the journey!

I ended up taking mine back to Alex - he made some adjustments since I had done a few customizations and things needs a little alignment - and then he took it off to powder coating. The powder coating is the way to go. Way more durable than the rattle can job I had previously put on the rack. Trust Alex when he says the PC is way better. I was a little reluctant but it comes out great and looks noticeably better.
I also wrapped my cross bars with clear bra (the cheap stuff from the local auto store) - not the best wrap job but good enough for the yakima skybox :boxing:

Anyone mount a hi-lift jack to one of these yet? I was looking at Gobi's lockable mounts but they are apparently different between the stealth and ranger racks, and I'm not sure if either is a better choice for these.
Yeah it was, and thanks for arranging shipping! I have to imagine it's a bit of a pain on your end.

Yes. I went with the hi-lift version since I couldn't get exact measurement for the gobi version. The gobi version doesn't exactly shrink to size (meaning it is not that flexible to use for other applications) rather it clamps together and bolts on. Tough to describe - just search for pics and you'll see what I mean. Unless the racks have the same thresholds/measurements it won't fit without some added modification. If you try it, let us know!
There are some other interesting options out there, especially weld-on but for simplicity the hi-lift version works fine. The downside is it doesn't lock - but I don't carry the hi-lift daily so no problem for me. I carry the hi-lift base to use with the stock jack for street purposes and just store it under the second row seats.

While I don’t really “hate” the baja, I certainly like this one a lot more! If someone wanted to pay me the same as this costs, I’d switch in a heartbeat!

Pardon the self-horn-tooting here, but it. looks. amazing.
If anyone is on the fence on the powder coating, do yourself a favor and just do it. IMHO, it's such a nice finish compared to what you'd get out of a rattle can, unless you're maybe trying the textured bed-liner spray approach.
It took me the greater part of the morning to get it on there, but man is it worth it. I only had my non-muscular girlfriend around to help me get it on to the roof, and with a folded towel on my head and the rack resting atop it, it wasn't too much for me to balance mostly on my own, with her just there to help balance it (not that I'm endorsing this type of behavior ).
If it's not obvious, I'm thrilled with the product -- thanks Alex!
P.S. the holes you marked on the ABS fairing were perfect, I can get it anywhere between no clearance to about 1/2" away.
