I just paid Alex a visit and dropped off my rack to have him take it to his powder-coat guy on his next run over there and I can say I'm sure he isn't ignoring you guys, instead very swamped with orders! So swamped I met his first employee (Alex's wife) who was working with him. I'm sure he'll get back to you guys ASAP. He showed me rack #20 which was complete and ready to get PC'd, so he's been a busy guy.

I figured he must be busy since several of us are commenting about sending in orders at the same time! Now I wonder how far down the list I am, bummer for that, but I'm busy anyway so wouldn't have time to do anything with it if I had it.

Trust me when I say you don't need any help except lifting it up and placing it on the roof. All your time will be spent in prep - adding the foam to each part that touches the roof, etc...once you mount the four corners in the stock locations - just throw the rack on top and bolt all four corners. Do not fully tighten as you'll install the front floating/3M taped mounts completely and THEN you will fully tighten the rest of the bolts. Note that these are all allen bolts in two sizes, yet depending on your truck model the stock bolts could either be standard metric bolts or torx T45 if I can remember correctly. Anyway - the whole thing shouldn't take more than an hour to slap together by yourself.

If you bring a ratchet set with the full spread of allen/torx settings along with standard and metric bolts you will be all good to go. I carry a full set in my truck always.

I would agree 100%! I just installed my rack today. It was very easy and it looks great!

Are you able to mount LED lights on front of rack, and still have the wind deflector?

Or do you not need the deflector if you have LEDs across the front of rack?

Yes you can do both if you want. You'll just have to adjust the angle the fairing sits on your roof.

Going to get started on the install today. Will post pics once completed. I took inventory of all parts last night:
1) was 3M tape supposed to come with for the front mounting locations? I see none in the box.
2) what are the 8 plastic spacers for?
3) it came with an extra set of "clamps" that look like the end of the crossbars. The crossbars already have these installed. Are these just extra?

Edit: I think I see now that the spacers are to go between the roof and mounting brackets. Someone mentioned "per the instructions" was I supposed to receive instructions? lol

1)Yes, you'll want to put 3M tape under each mounting bracket. There should have been some for each.

2)You are correct, once you take off the OEM rack, you'll see how the spacers will fit over a white protruding tube.

3)My guess is that they are extra, If they look exactly the same as the cross bar clamps. There is no need for that small clamp anywhere else.

And for the instructions. It's a basic list, pretty much everything has been covered in here but Alex can probably email it to you (or PM me your email and I can send it)

Only took about 3 hours and that included washing and waxing the roof. Will be contacting Alex shortly about sorting out the front feet.

I think Alex quoted about 3-4 weeks just before I put my order in, that was around the time several others ordered so not sure if that has grown much since then. Probably a function of how many orders he has to fill, very reasonable if you ask me.
