Looks like I know where I'm getting my rack from....
[MENTION=50210]KVA[/MENTION], did you say you made the mounts for the light bar and welded them on yourself? Or could I order a similar setup with mounts from Alex?

Alex provided all the parts - he made them from raw material. Alex did all the welding. I took his original fairing mounts and bent them to fit my application - notice of caution here - you must heat the aluminum beforehand or it will simply be too brittle to bend. I know this firsthand.

Just get in contact with Alex and he can do whatever you need. The issue with welding tabs is that he really should have the light bar in-person to ensure fitment is correct or he is simply going off measurements - which may/may not work.

My take is - buy the light bar you want - send it to Alex along with your order and describe the placement so he can weld the correct tabs and ship everything back to you once done. You might also want to request pre-drilling holes for running wire inside the rack...that way everything is powder coated at the same time and one-and-done.

Alex did a great job - the tabs are all from scratch - we didn't even take off the rack to weld on...these are as fitted as you can get - lol.

Yes, a half rack is on the to do list..

and a utility rack, ( it will sit a tad higher to clear the antenna, with no front curve )

After seeing [MENTION=90255]TPatt88[/MENTION] set up I went with the gobi ladder as well, of course I hate all of you that have racks, etc. on already. I'm patiently waiting while I plan lighting, [MENTION=50210]KVA[/MENTION] it took long enough to get some pictures up. I'm now leaning towards a Rigid SR for the rack, maybe 30". Of course at this point none of this will be in place for my week long camping, hiking, off-loading through Moab and southwest Colorado in a few weeks. But hey I can't complain as I'm getting a week of awesomeness!

No, I will do something that fits it assuming I put a light up there. I still may just get an upper rigid grill to match my lower and put a bar in there.

I thought you said you still had snow in Cali? That looks like June snow for Colorado. :suspicious:

The box looks like it fits great, I know mine is a little shorter. I doubt fitting any lights will be an issue, Rigid makes so many different sizes and mounts something will fit, it's all probably overkill for me anyway.

LOL...that's at a lower elevation. I was actually surprised there was even snow there still. The mountain has snow...I'll take a pic to share.

Regardless - definitely not as much snow as normal years.

I would have taken a picture before I drove back to Denver today but it was whiteout conditions up there. Made for a more interesting drive home, especially zig zagging through all the front wheel drive cars scattered across the highway, even a couple xterras, AND one stuck snow plow. 4Runners rule!

Thanks! Yes, picked them all up on the first morning it was offered....got my $200 credit as well. Bought the Premium for $81 more to get 50% off Whistler, Alpine/Squaw, Jackson Hole, Aspen, Alta, etc... Premium also got me 25% pass cash credit...

Not too bad of a deal...if the season was better you could technically reclaim the value by skiing/riding only 7 days this year.

Sounds like you got the storm that went through Mammoth quickly on Friday...just brought rain and clouds as it wasn't cold enough.

Thanks [MENTION=55815]Okki[/MENTION] the mesh on your gobi looks similar enough to the camelback that it should work, I'm going to order one and see how it goes when my rack comes in. Have you driven with much altitude change with them loaded? That would be my only concern, when I go from 5k to 10k with one loaded with water.
