Really don't see what your problem is with me. Called dibs, did some quick research, and politely PM'd the seller. In PMing him I also learned something about LC coils that I hadn't known before. He had no problem selling them because they're a hot item and we went our separate ways.

1) a person call "dibs" on an item

2) others see this and it may detour potential buyers from contacting the seller as in their mind the item is already sold

3) the "dibber" backs out

4) the seller potentially looses a potential buyer or two due to a person calling "dibs"

make sense?

i have had this very thing happen to me several times before. a "dibber" posts some hours after i post an item for sale, i get the run around while telling others i am holding the item for the "dibber", the "dibber" backs out and the others that had money waiting went a different route or are no longer interested.

this is the very reason i no longer hold items for people, cash talks, "dibs" walks...(in my opinion)

PS: if you need any info on color codes, heights and amount of lift given, let me know, i have it all spreadsheeted from my own research.

I found the color codes on http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/66976-3rd-gen-4runner-lift-information-faqs.html. I noticed that they were different color codes showing different heights and that's what initially made me say I was backing out. By the time I had talked to the seller, finding out that they were in fact supposed to be different heights, there was already a line waiting for them.

I as well have dealt with this problem of people backing out since most deals I do with selling things is on craigslist (whether it be surfboards, car parts, or anything in between) and it is very frustrating. I did however know that these are a very desirable item and knew that they would sell regardless (and they did in within few days at most).

I completely understand where you're coming from and it was my fault as I didn't do the proper research before hand and did apologize to the seller for this.
